I’ve seen that communication in our company can improve by better communication between head office and employees. Our employees need more information about how does what at the company. They want to be informed about work in other subsidiaries.

How to improve the magazine

·         What’s the purpose of the magazine?

(to inform, to convince, to motivate)

·         I suggest more interviews with different employees.

(people get information about doing their job.)

·         I would like more real news.

(people are  more involved in the company)

·         I think it’s important that employees in different countries can read the magazine, so I propose to press the magazine also in another international language. I suggest German of French. (than more people can read the magazine).

·         I would prefer a magazine with a simply lay-out. (a glossy magazine costs a lot) 

How to improve the communication

·         I suggest to create an intranet site.

(site gives information about who does what, product information, strategy and management.)

·         Maybe it’s possible for the assistant to the communications manager to follow a course ‘how to create an intranet site’.

1. What is remarkable about the comments and the bloggers of the Federal Reserve Bank?

The comments and the bloggers are anonymous.

2. The Federal Reserve Bank opened a blog to create “buzz”. What is meant by this, in other words, what was the purpose of opening a blog?

They mean with buzz that more people visite the website and that they use it often. The purpose of opening a blog was to bring buzz back to internet traffic so the people cheque the site more often for regular news.

3. What was the female recruiting manager’s blog mainly about?

It was mainly about the theme how to combine to be a good mother and to be a good manager. How to do the duties everyone ask for.

4. What was the purpose of her blog?

To about the questions employees could have to do their job as well as possible.get advices from other people for her problems. 5. Which words show that the FED does exercise a form of control on the blogs?

The words usually regulated .

6. By what kind of people were the very first FED blogs written?

They were written by the senior managers.

7. Have the blogs changed the way that people who work for the FED think about

Yes, the people know by experience that collective stuff is a subject to  develop transformation. More employees are driven to the website.

8. What is the latest development in the company as far as media are concerned?

They place videoflatscreens in elevators of the bank to give the last information to the people.

9. Catherine Cummings says that this medium to communicate with staff is better than an older medium. Which more old-fashioned way of communicating with staff does she mention?

Its more effective than a mother who tells you where you have to think of that day.

10. What is the next big thing in social media at the FED?

They hold sessions with managers and employees to develop effective  transformations. They have consultants to develop more websites in Chicago

blog 4 Antonie Kamerling

Last Thursday I saw news about the dead of Antonie Kamerling. He committed suicide. I was in shock. He was a famous actor, musical star and singer. He was one of my favorites.  He had a great talent for everything he did. It’s a pity that couldn’t see how talented he was.

He started his career in the soap “Goede Tijden, Slechte Tijden”.  He played the character of Peter Kelder. It was a young boy with a leather jacket. His character was an important role. He made “Goeden Tijden, Slechte Tijden” a look figure hit. A lot of young girls loved Peter Kelder.

After three years he played important characters in different movies. A couple of movies are: “De kleine blonde dood”, “Feestje!”, “Ik ook van jou” and “suite 16”.

He also played in television serials. Some of these are: “All Stars”, “Windkracht 10”and “Voetbalvrouwen”. When he played in All Stars he scored a number one hit. “Toen ik je zag”.

He loved to play the piano and to write songs. He made his own CD called “Feel”.

He was beloved by general public. A lot of famous Netherlands artists will miss Antonie as a friend. His children will miss him as a wonderful father. Isa, his wife, will miss him as a unique partner. Holland will miss Antonie as one of the most talented persons in the Dutch movie history.

Blog 3 my vacation

Last Summer we went with 5 friends to Salou. On Friday we left by bus. First we drove from Zutphen tot Arnhem by car. In Arnhem we took the bus to Eindhoven. In Eindhoven we changed to another bus. Then we went from Eindhoven to Salou. It was a comfortable bus. We had a lot of fun with young passengers. We arrived at 8 o´clock in the morning. Some people who organized our trip told us that there were some problems with our apartment. The apartment had leakage. They had to search another apartment for us. We waited at the beach. In the afternoon we had en new room. At night we had a bar excursion. We met a lot of new friends from Holland. We dansed, we had fun at the beach and we made nice trips. One evening we went to Pascha. Pascha is the largest discotheque in Spain. There was a fantastic atmosphere and good music. There were special artists: Tiësto, The Partysquad, Vato Gonzalez, David Guetta and Armin van Buren.  On Friday there was a catamaran trip on the program. I was a little bit seasick. After the trip we went to our apartment by jeep. When we were arrived in the apartment we prepared a delicious dinner, because it was our last evening. On Saturday we went home. During the whole journey I slept. On Sunday we arrived home and I was very tired.

Last week your company designed and printed a brochure about the Christmas concert for War Child. I’m satisfied about the brochure I received. 

First of all I discovered a spelling mistakes in the name of Robbie Williams. I miss the s at the end of his back name. It’s Robbie Williams.

The second point is that I miss the program. Within a week I would to receive new correct brochures.

If I don’t receive your new printed brochure I will contact my lawyer.  I also have a lot of business connections and if this case is not seriously treat I will tell them about your bad service. I hope you treat my complaint seriously.

My name is Inge and I’m a student at the Faculty of Communication and Journalism in Holland.

For me English is a difficult language, because I’m dyslexic. My pronunciation is good, but speaking correct English is difficult for me. I have to do more exercise as other students do. I’m interested in the course on your website, because English is important.

I have some questions about the course. Is it possible to follow the course for two weeks in June 2011? I should like to know what the costs are when I follow the course for two weeks. Do I have to pay in forward and is it also possible to rent a room in the neighbourhood?

Dear managers,

By this way I send you a memo about organizing a Super Sports Day for all Dutch and American employees and their family’s . I promises you to summing up my arguments to organized this day:

·         It’s important for the team spirit of our company that our Dutch and American employees meet each other.

·         It’s important to involve family members at the work of our employees.

·         I would develop informal team meetings. 

·         By organizing a Super Sports Day the name of our company will be mentioned.

We will start the day with coffee and cake. Every group is a mix of Americam and Dutch employees. During the day it’s important that there are activities where employees have to cooperate together. Visitors of the Princess Hall theatre are mostly are very satisfied about the service of our staff. We are very proud of the service our employees are delivering at our clients. Last week there have been some complaints from clients about staff being too casually dressed. Management would like to create a dress code  for our employees. We think it’s important to involve our employees by the creating process of the dress code. It’s important that the outfit feels comfortable, but also important that it’s representative. blog 2 Pride and Prejudice

My favorite film is Pride and Prejudice. I think the film is very beautiful and the story is wonderful. That's why i'm going to tell you what the film is about.

The story is about the Family Bennet. Mr Bennet and Mrs Bennet has 5 daughters. Jan, Elizabeth, Marry, Kitty and Lydia. When a rich young bachelor arrived in longbourn, there´s great excitment by Mrs Bennet. She wants that her daughters safely marry. The girls went to a ball, they met Mr bingley, the rich man and his friend Mr Darcy. Mr Bingly loves Jane, she is the eldest daughter.
At the end of the story they get married.
Mr Darcy showed no intrest in any of the girls, But he is fond of Elizabeth. Mr Darce write her a letter to apologise for his behaviour. Then Elizabeth realised that she loved him. some time passes and then Elizabeth went away with her aunt and uncle. In the house were she stayed she met Mr Darcy. Then she received a letter from home, her sister lydia ran away.
They are searching for her. When she´s found, lydia married her lover. First they think the brother of the father has found her and paid the money for the wedding, but than they heard Mr Darcy had found her. He did this for Elizabeth. At the end of the story Mr Bingley and Jane are engaged ans Elizabeth accepts Mr Darcy.

blog 1 let me first introduce myself

My name is Inge van Beek and I'm 18 years old. I live in Zutphen, a small place in the east of the Netherlands. I have one brother, his name is Sven. He is 20 years old and we are friends.

I'm studying for company communication in Utrecht. I chose this course because I like to make interviews, I like photography and I like to write about diffrent subjects. It seems me nice to work for radio, television and magazines. Utrecht is a new town for me. Í've never been there before.

During the UIT-week, a introductionweek fot new students I met a lot of new friends. It was easy for me to make contact with so many diffrent people. The week was well organised. I enjoyed the party's, the dinners and the sociability.

I like latin dancing, music, and theatre. Latin dancing is my sport. I train 4 times a week. On sunday I have a danscompetition. Several times I win prices. I also work at the dansschool.

An other job is working at the local hospital. I give patients their food, I clean the rooms and I try to be good company for the patients. Sometimes they are lonely and I talk to them.

Finally, I made a good start in Utrecht and I hope the next four years will be one of the nicest periods of my life.
